    Beer at the Manor
We have a great reputation locally for the way we keep our beer: The number of real ales we keep varies with the seasons and the turnover - we'd rather sell fewer, better beers than a wide range of badly kept ones.

Kitchen hours are generally 12:00 to 2:30pm and 6:00 to 09:30pm (last orders 9:00pm) but in special circumstances, we can be flexible, given notice.

There are various menus - we have eight distinct areas within the Manor. Food is usually available to varying degrees in all of them. They range from formal to occasional and most have reservable tables but some are pot-luck. Combinations of children, dogs and muddy boots are welcome - but not all combinations in all areas.

The arrangement of our rooms is flexible and can cater for functions ranging from private meetings for a dozen people through fireside dinners for 20 to full dinner dances for 80.

    Accommodation

We are very proud of our newly refurbished rooms. All rooms are doubles with en-suite and are well furnished with astonishingly comfortable beds.

As an old and quirky building, no two rooms are the same but all are fully fitted with TV and DVD player, coffee and tea making facilities and come with our locally famous breakfast.

    About the Area

Galmpton is an historic village that nestles between the seaside attractions of Torbay and the tranquility of the Dart Valley. Churston Golf Club is just up the road whilst at the bottom of the village is Galmpton Creek on the widest part of the Dart providing tidal moorings, boat storage and a slipway as well as many marine related businesses.

The village is a vibrant community with a broad mix of population. South Devon has always been a favourite location for retirement and Galmpton is no exception. We also have two of the best schools in the area, (the village primary and the grammar school)  so the village is popular with younger families. As a result the activities available range from skate-boarding and go-karting to golf and riding, together with the traditional beach and boating holidays
