The Rising Sun is a community pub on the outskirts of Truro town centre situated on Mitchell Hill it's a 3 minute walk from the bottom end of town.
With a great local atmosphere it's a good place to stop and have a refreshing drink going into or coming back from town on the walk up Mitchell Hill.
The Rising Sun is best known for the selection of Real Ales which they serve directly from the Cask in the cellar.
Food and Drink
The Rising Sun offers a traditional pub food menu.
Saturday is Steak Night and Wednesday offers a Curry and a pint special.
Every Sunday a home cooked roast is cooked and served by the landlady Karen.
We have a great range of Real Ale served for the Casks in the cellar.

SUMMER EVENTS 2012
The Olympic Torch will be passing the end of Mitchell Hill making us a great spot for Lunch after seeing the Torch on the 19th May.
Diamond Jubilee Weekend
Sunday 3rd June - Big Lunch
Monday 4th June - Garden Party, where lucky visitors can have their picture taken with the Queen!!
Euro 2012
We will be showing all of the matches with Sweepstakes, food offers and a football quiz.
Olympics 2012
The Rising Sun Bar Olympics will be to find the best bar game player in Truro.
To start the Olympic in style we will be having a beach party on the 28th July.
We have teams for Pool, Darts and Euchre so there is always something going on.

The Rising Sun is near to Truro town centre which offers a wide range of high street and independent shops and the famous Cathedral.
Truro is also home to the Royal Cornwall Museum and Hall for Cornwall which is now the premier entertainment centre in the county.
