This beautiful character pub in located in the village of Ponsanooth just outside Penryn. Its name taken from Stag Hunting in Roman Times is now run by locals Usha and Garry who have lived in the village for 12 years before taking in over. The pub has recently been modernised without losing the character and charm as the pub is built on two levels from former cottages. Being part of village life remains what the Stag Hunt is all about and we offer good food good beer and good cheer.
Our customers enjoy our well kept Cornish real ales traditional pub grub and Usha's authentic homemade Indian curries and Sunday lunches.
Please note that we recommend booking for Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

The village of Ponsanooth lies just of the main A393 between Redruth and Penryn. It is well known for the walk at Kennall Woods and its strong community feel.
We are still lucky to have a post office and shop, a pub, a thriving village school and a chapel and church.
The village is known for its Christmas lights and its Summer Fair Day.
We are also close to Falmouth.
